Most decaffeinated coffees sacrifice taste to remove caffeine. This one is an exception.
Sapporo Coffee Kan's Premium Decaf is decaffeinated using the German liquid dicarboxylic acid extraction method — a low-pressure, low-temperature process, applied over a long duration, which removes 93 to 98% of the caffeine while preserving the aromas, natural oils, and taste compounds of the bean. The result: a decaf that tastes like coffee.
The beans are then roasted over binchotan using the CSR (Charcoal Straight Roasting) method, which minimizes oxidation and cooks the beans uniformly, from core to surface.
In the cup: a smooth and balanced body, a floral finish, with little bitterness. Offered in some gourmet Japanese restaurants as an accompaniment to dessert.
Ideal for evenings, for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for anyone reducing their caffeine intake without wanting to give up a real coffee.
